Easter!
Easter morning the kids awoke to find presents from Mormor and Papa (my mom's tradition). We had to color our eggs (we made 12 and promptly all ate 8 before we were done - smile). Then it was off to two Easter Egg hunts (one at our neighbors and the other at our house). The kids had a good time.

Allen & Brad visit
It was really good fun to have Allen and Brad come for a visit. They stayed a couple of nights and went to visit Cameron Indoor Stadium (where the Duke Bluedevil's play). They also visited Carter Finley stadium (where NCState plays football). Tom took them on his college campus tour. Little lady had a fabulous time with her "cousin Brad", meanwhile little man just wanted "Unc Alwin" to hold him. It was very cute. We hope they come and do it again, this time with Donna and Brittany.

Our Garden
Ever since we moved here we've talked about planting a garden. With the rising cost of everything these days, we decided it was time to plant. The best place to do that (with the most consistant sun) is in our front yard. Tom spent two whole days building this and planting the seeds. He did an awesome job! We planted onions, carrots, spinach, romaine, kale, broccoli, peas, and corn (I may be one short). Tom planted them so the smallest growing plants are on the left and they get taller as they go to the right, that way no one plant will block the sun to another one (he's so smart!!). The last photo is a recent one to show you how it is coming along. Enjoy!

Pullen Park with Daddy!
Tom went off-track in late March & we decided to stay at home for once (smile). We did simple day trips here and there, but mostly just hung out at the house. Since he doesn't get to come along when we go to parks / museums and such, so this was a big treat! The train wasn't running but it was still fun. Enjoy the pics.

Oh he was lovin' having his own boat (he's big enough now)
This is a real train car from the 1940's or so, it doesn't move, but the kids love to go in it.

heading towards the early 1900's carousel
Gettin' ready to board the paddle boats (our 1st time)

Still cool enough for the Canadian geese to stick around

a pretty tree in early bloom, I think it's a dogwood
heading to playgrounds again, then home.
Dance Class
Parent's night at Christy's Dancexpostion!

They are doing a flower blossoming in these 2
SICK SICK SICK
I AM IN SHOCK THAT IT WAS JANUARY THAT WE LAST POSTED SOMETHING!! OUCH!
We have had more than our fair share of sickness this year. As if Christmas wasn't bad enough, we got the stomach bug two more times, landing Catherine in the emergency room and then being admitted because she couldn't keep anything down even with her IV. If it wasn't one of us sick, it was all of us, with either allergy issues or stomach issues. I (Erika) started working the maximum number of hours allowed for my position and so that made it tough with all of us being sick. I am happy to say, that we are all healthy and doing fine now, so let the posts begin! Smile
